  By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the anatomical structures and landmarks relevant to phlebotomy and intravenous cannulation with 80% accuracy as measured by a post-course assessment.
  • Demonstrate the proper technique for venipuncture and intravenous cannulation on a mannequin arm, achieving a success rate of 80% as evaluated by the instructors and facilitators.
  • Define and explain the different types of blood collection tubes and intravenous catheters, achieving a score of 80% of above on a written test.
  • Describe potential complications associated with phlebotomy and intravenous cannulation and outline appropriate intervention strategies, as evidenced by participation in the case discussion.
  • Memorize the effective patient care skills during simulated phlebotomy and intravenous cannulation scenarios, as assessed by peer and instructor feedback.
